One new Windows 8 feature already available as standard in other operating systems like Mac OS X or Linux is the idea of using the corners of the screen to trigger various actions when you place your mouse pointer there. When Windows 8 was released it divided opinion with its new look and the new features like the Start Screen that other Windows users really were not used to.
